Gabriel Collet

Gabriel Collet, French-born percussionist, composer and arranger, Yamaha artist. He studied at the Conservatory of Music in Paris (CNR) with Frédéric Macarez (Orchestre de Paris), graduated from the Royal Conservatory of Music in Brussels (Masters in percussion) and Soloist Marimba Studies in the class of Ludwig Albert at the Royal Conservatory in Antwerp. In all these universities he received diplomas with the highest honors (“La plus haute distinction”). He studied in between with Frédéric Macarez, Nicolas Martynciow (Orchestre de Paris), Michel Cals (Opéra National de Paris), Babette Haag. Gabriel Collet conducts lessons and master classes in Europe and asian countries and he is a judge of international competitions (IV Universal Marimba Competition in Belgium, XXV Drum Fest Marimba and Vibraphone Competition). Gabriel Collet is a classical and film music composer. He is the author of instrumental works (solo and orchestral), instrumental-vocal, illustrative music and arrangements (chamber and orchestral).
His music has so far been presented in between in Australia, Azerbaijan, Belgium, China, Germany, France, Sweden, etc. ath the Auditorio de Tenerife, Shanghai Concert Hall, “Ten Days on the Island Festival” in Hobart, Tasmania, at the International Chopin Festival in Poland or Les Journées de la Francophonie and many more.
